Melysa S. Alvarez is a dedicated attorney practicing in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning, and Probate, with a recent certification in Guardianship, further expanding her commitment to supporting families through all stages of life.

A proud graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law, Melysa earned her Juris Doctor in May 2022. During her time at St. Mary’s, she distinguished herself through her work in the Family Law Clinic, where she provided hands-on legal assistance to underserved communities. Her exceptional commitment and performance in clinical legal education earned her the Francisco Leos Award for Excellence in Clinical Studies – Family Law, an honor reserved for a single recipient.

Melysa is known for her compassionate and realistic approach to every case she handles. She carefully considers each child’s wishes alongside the legal framework and decision history of the presiding judge, allowing her to craft insightful and effective legal strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client. Her ability to balance empathy with legal insight helps families navigate difficult transitions with clarity and purpose.

A passionate advocate for victims of family and dating violence—regardless of gender—Melysa uses her experience to ensure the safety of her clients while fostering cooperative co-parenting environments that prioritize the well-being of children above all else.
